The Thrill of Holy Thanksgiving

Hot teacup in the fall sunshine!

Afternoon tea in the fall sunshine on the porch produces steam (iPhone photo)

This morning, I was wakened by a dream because it was so exciting that my soul was jumping up and down. The basic elements were, I was with creative, musical friends, we were rehearsing a performance, and the Holy Spirit fell on us. It was the kind of excitement I haven’t felt since the film theme, I am a man of constant sorrows. (YouTube.com)

My dream was unusual as I was caught up in the Spirit. It was exciting, good clean fun. It woke me at 3 AM. I used the (water closet) and laid in bed for two hours trying to understand my dream. Like, It’s hard to explain, unless you can relate to the movie that came out of the story written in 1913, and published in 1928. A popular folk song that the south proudly claims some spiritual, bible-belt glory for.(Wikipedia.org)

The day is different because we went to wife’s doctor, and I thought about that even before getting up. It took an hour to see his assistant and get a good enough blood count to come back again in six months. Even that was worth celebrating.

We had lunch at a popular bakery-cafeteria and marveled over the pretty holiday decor throughout the room. I had time to check my email and Facebook wall. The new iPhone is a vast improvement over the last one (even 6 times better). (This is written with it) . . .

SORROW FOR PASTOR IN ZIMBABUE

A simple request for prayer from whom I pray for daily, said they are safe and that their nation is suffering revolts and a military coup. I did not hesitate to share some words of encouragement that he always acknowledges thankfully.

Today is also meeting for church new member initiation called (RCIA). I remembered to call my assistant sponsor, and he said he’s up to it. I am so very pleased with all the positive change that Catholicism has made. My own challenges are to deal with clearing up all past sin which incidently, the Protestant church has no apostolic solution for. I’m looking forward to experiencing that! [My sponsors {both} called unable to give me a ride.]

ANOTHER MOVIE BLESSED ME INSTEAD

It was like a bad dream that I was unable to make RCIA class last night. My heart spoke that I was to get ready and have bookbag and jacket ready to leave. As I waited, I emailed the class coordinator to excuse me from missing class; and standing there in the front room, porch light on, hoping to have a ride show up miraculously . . . turned on the TV . . .

DEJAVU!

This is my personal blogpost that I am privileged to take time to record my unusual life-events, even to share their meaning for all others who may or may not know me personally. But what I hear to share, I need to share. (As long as I get chores done, the wife is free to do her hobby while I do mine.)

THE WORD DEJA VU MEANS “AGAIN VIEW” IN FRENCH

The movie that was playing that I found to watch, was an old favorite! You know, the kind that stops everything, and makes you watch religiously — even without popcorn and candy — For such a movie I will fast anyway! Have you seen this?

I was very disappointed not to go to class, but to get to see the entire film was a gift from God. Instantly my disappointment vanished as I checked how long it played, and realized my prayer time would not conflict — I had already prayed the rosary in the afternoon. (And Mother assured me that it counted). Grace!

The plot has a twist that I can never quite figure out. But the story works! Even if the heroic protagonist dies in the end and comes back to life miraculously; I find myself willing to accept what I was taught in writing fiction–even the partial resolution of the conflict is OK. And even the song, Be happy, everything’s goin-ah be all right, helps viewers return to reality. (Godinallthings.com)

THE MYSTERY OF LIFE EVENTS

Obviously, the writers of this movie really stretched the viewer’s imaginations. The details of the circumstances were put together in such a way as to be believable, and that’s all that matters. It was sad to see how the destruction of some 500 souls was shown, but that added to the gravity to the real event, and made the movie great—can we even imagine all the planning and work it took to put such a terror-attack scene together? Wow! (And, double-wow!)

CATECHISM OF MYSTERY IN REALITY

235 “This paragraph expounds briefly (I) how the mystery of the Blessed Trinity was revealed, (II) how the Church has articulated the doctrine of the faith regarding this mystery, and (III) how, by the divine missions of the Son and the Holy Spirit, God the Father fulfills the “plan of his loving goodness” of creation, redemption and sanctification.”

236 “The Fathers of the Church distinguish between theology (theologia) and economy (oikonomia). “Theology” refers to the mystery of God’s inmost life within the Blessed Trinity and “economy” to all the works by which God reveals himself and communicates his life. Through the oikonomia the theologia is revealed to us; but conversely, the theologia illuminates the whole oikonomia. God’s works reveal who he is in himself; the mystery of his inmost being enlightens our understanding of all his works. So it is, analogously, among human persons. A person discloses himself in his actions, and the better we know a person, the better we understand his actions.” (Vatican.va)

The teaching published as the Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us mystery is written into all the miraculous events of the Gospel. However, this does not make church tradition any less real or untrue. This is why such context is made by faith.

The point I believe, is to effectively tell the true claims of Jesus Christ within his contextual history. The timing, events, and persons involved really help. He was described to confirm such claims. And we are faced with accepting or rejecting them by faith alone. He said, Believe Me. So we believe. [Present tense of an action verb in English; but in Greek it becomes the passed or perfect tense, that means continuous action.] (Wikipedia.org)

The reason I value the Catechism of the Catholic Church is that it is so highly documented over all the years. Only the Vatican library can excel the documentation of the Bible itself. Oh, the Bible record is documented, but original sources are non existent in some places. [In other words, we have to trust a scribe copyist version as close enough to original.]

CONCLUSION

This post may have begun with a lot of exciting hype, but it has led us into a reality of mysterious circumstances. I was disappointed that I was kept from going to RCIA class, but now having just heard from our class coordinator, we can enter Thanksgiving week forgiven and forgiving. (I was not disappointed to see the movie!)

I am truly thankful for all parties who are supporting me to become Catholic Christian. The challenge is to learn the truth. My dad used to say, You cannot know another man’s poverty until you let him walk in your shoes. [Or, “You feel sorry having no shoes until you meet a man with no feet.”] Well, this applies to my situation: My poverty is depending on the church to get me in the family — knowing I can depend on volunteer, faithful sponsors who are well and have dependable, safe transportation. [I asked, and I received].

May the grace of God fill your heart with love this holiday season!

Holy Wind

THE WIND BLOWS WHERE IT CAN BREATHE – HUB

image

(Stained glass image taken from an apse of the St Peter’s Basilica by Gian Lorenzo Bernini circa 1660, Wikipedia)

Last night I feel like I was given a treat. The Fox Movie Channel was showing GRAVITY back to back. Have you seen it? It’s the full length cinema staring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney that I had not seen. What a marvelous story!

What can such a film and our study of prayer have to do with that? Well, without giving away anything of the plot, let me just say, Science Specialist Dr. Ryan Stone, admitted she never was told how to pray, but when back, she whispered, Thank you!

PRAYING SINCERELY

According to theologian Rudolf Bultmann, “There are two ways to think about the Holy Spirit: ‘animistic’ and ‘dynamistic’. In animistic thinking, it is ‘an independent agent, a personal power which like a demon can fall upon a man and take possession of him, enabling him or compelling him to perform manifestations of power’ while in dynamistic thought it ‘appears as an impersonal force which fills a man or woman like a fluid’. Both kinds of thought appear in Jewish and Christian scripture, but animistic is more typical of the Old Testament whereas dynamistic is more common in the New Testament. The distinction coincides with the Holy Spirit as either a temporary or permanent gift. In the Old Testament and Jewish thought, it is primarily temporary with a specific situation or task in mind, whereas in the Christian concept the gift resides in man permanently.”(From ‘Jesus and the Word’, London, 1952)

Prayer then, is sincere Holy-Spirit conscience giving place and showing detracting or revealing thoughts that draw or repell awareness of His presence. We learn by practice. And eventually we catch on. Our space capsule is the Church.

OVERCOMING IMPOSSIBLE DEMANDS – Youth granted wisdom to be saved. (8-26-16)

Imagine, we are alone somewhere orbiting the earth, in the Russian Soyuz capsule, going 17,000 MPH, some 250 miles up. Having had only 2 weeks training with reentry, and are about to panic. A simple whisper about never learning prayer brought help.

TEAM PRAYER – Social media church. (8-31-16)

The lost mission commander, George Clooney, appeared at the hatch, tapping to come in. He is allowed in with nonchalant instructions that comforted as well as motivated.  As if an angelic visitation, he is gone. The mystery enables the glorious climax.

ETERNAL REST‘ – Video. (9-19-16)

(scifi.stackexchange.com)

She swims to the shore, kisses the mud, says Thank you, and slowly stands up. Oh, the wonderful firmament of earth’s gravity! Having been even months without it, the mere effort of standing up is a struggle — we get this, but she prayed! (Thank You)

WORLDVIEW TWEEK – Our nation’s future depends on this. (10-2-16)

After the movie, the news media had to wow me with its stupid sexual allegations . . . and now our helpmate called a meeting about the family plans for Thanksgiving, which thankfully won’t include us. And that is a worldview tweek we are okay with.

CONTEMPLATING AMERICA – How to pray for America. (10-10-16)

Fall weather is stimulating. It’s quiet, it’s cool, and the stress from neighbors is relaxed (with leaves all over the bad looking grass, the yard is peaceful). Our focus is on spring cleaning — the fall weather is permitting us to so struggle gently here.

I have given the national news a break. Only our loving Father can be trusted. All our prayers prayed, we can now trust heaven to come down. All of the above titles represent the most recent posts from my other, older website. Prayer is the theme.

How can we ultimately discern the truth? Only Jesus said how. He, himself is Truth. And his word is true Covenant. Can we learn the truth? Yes, by dedicating ourself to him and his agency, the Church. The Church, having both Scriptures and tradition, is the believer’s authority. (Jn 14:6; Is 46:19; 65:16; Jn 5:39, 40)

Prayer then, is sincere Holy-Spirit conscience giving place and showing detracting or revealing thoughts that draw or repell awareness of God’s presence. We learn by practice. And eventually we catch on. Our space capsule is the Church . . . put yourself in Dr. Ryan Stone’s place. (This may be easier for some, if not all.)

But relate to God in even the most distant way . . . he is still right there for you. Just greet him. Your heart will catch his present closeness . . . stop denying him. Accept Him and seek his benefits for you: love, joy, peace is yours in him. Just believe, just trust. You can have his personal revelation even now.

“Forming your conscience”

(taken from morethings.com)

IS YOUR CONSCIENCE FORMED YET?

Recently, my darling wife has been stuck in her design mode of trying to create a silk purse out of the sow’s ear with her patio furniture and potted plants. She has great taste for comfortable chairs, and a marvelous selection of flowers and ivy. However, her daily occupation has been to change what she arranged the day before. Again and over again. I am neutral, but began to think, something is wrong here.

My prayer for her, along with the thousand other individuals, has produced the title for today’s post. When I Googled the short phrase, the offerings seemed only to be Catholic teaching. I read this out loud and concluded easily the principle here can apply with Vivian, but also with our country, politics, party platforms, and presumptive candidate at large.(adw.org)

And speaking openly about the biased media reports lately, no one has any answer closer than this than our Catholic Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan. I Just heard him say on MSNBC, he would recommend that every citizen vote according to his conscience. Of course, he has learned the meaning of our conscience, being Catholic. But we don’t have this yet.

THE CONSCIENCE ACCORDING TO CATECHISM

“1776, Deep within his conscience, man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself but which he must obey. Its voice, ever calling to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil, sounds in his heart at the right moment … for man has in his heart a law inscribed by God … his conscience is man’s most secret core and his sanctuary. There he is alone with God whose voice echoes in his depths.” (www.vatican.va)

“THE FORMATION OF CONSCIENCE”

“1783, Concience must be informed and moral judgment enlightened. A well-formed conscience is upright and truthful. It formulates its judgments according to reason, in conformity with the true good willed by the wisdom of the Creator. The education of conscience is indispensable for human beings who are subjected to negative influences and tempted by sin to prefer his own judgment and to reject authoritative teaching.”

THE CERTAIN JUDGMENT

“1800, A human being must always obey the certain judgment of his conscience. And 1802, The Word of God is a light for our path. We must assimilate it in faith and prayer and put it in practice. This is how moral conscience is formed.”

“THE IDEAL CONSCIENCE: CORRECT AND CERTAIN”

Fr. Kenneth Baker in his work for Fundamentals of Catholicism (Ignatius Press, 1983), tells us; “A person may think he is justified in perpetuating an act of terrorism, he might even be sincere. But that doesn’t make terror and murder good. Today, due to philosophical currents of subjectivism and relativism, many persons tend to absolutize the individual conscience. . .

“They neglect the objective principles of morality and claim that an action is good or bad simply because they think it is good or bad. Some of the results of this mentality are a breakdown in public morality, increased violence in the streets, premarital sex, shoplifting, and so forth. . .

“We should cultivate not only a good moral conscience, but also a Christian conscience — which is something much more. In addition to reason, we have the added advantage of grace — personal grace, revelation, the teaching of the Church and good examples of the saints.

“We should learn to judge all things in the light of salvation offered to us in Jesus Christ. He is the model and examplar, for He is the Way and the Truth and the Life.”

CURRENT EVENTS INCLUDED WITH LOVE

We can know in our conscience (heart of hearts), that we will come to positive solutions. Whether with my wife’s patio, porch designs, the presidential conventions, laws for moderate gun-control measures, immigration or terrorism, our consciences being properly formed not by social media, cable networks, but family, Church and proper allegiances.

I am being shown to live according to my conscience. I hope this post is helpful for you too. Even if it does take a lifetime to form our conscience, knowing it can be done, that our Savior, his Mother, and all the saints will help us; and the increased years of living to do this, is far worth all our efforts. But that’s not all!

I am now consoled that my wife is in this lifetime process, right along with me. And all we are doing over and over again is more than recreation. It is only our consciences striving for the perfection we were created to achieve. How we will vote come November, is another matter. But I now believe the collective conscience of our party will be well formed by then.

May the Lord bless and keep you,

Charles

MISSION POSSIBLE: Prayer for saints’ intercession.

image

Saint Peter with the keys of the kingdom, interceding for the church.

Questions: Who is in this ‘great cloud of witnesses’ all around us? (Hebrews 12:1) Are they not the many saints that make up the heavenly host? And if we are not able to pray to them so much, are they not able to intercede for us?

Answer:

THE INTERCESSION OF THE SAINTS

“Fundamentalists often challenge the Catholic practice of asking saints and angels to pray on our behalf. But the Bible directs us to invoke those in heaven and ask them to pray with us.

“Thus, in Psalm 103 we pray, ‘Bless the Lord, O you his angels, you mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word! Bless the Lord, all his hosts, his ministers that do his will!’ (Ps. 103:20–21). And in the opening verses of Psalms 148 we pray, ‘Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his host!’

“Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, John sees that ‘the twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the Saints.’ (Rev. 5:8). Thus the saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.” (Catholic.com)

WHY DO CATHOLICS PRAY TO SAINTS?

“When Catholics say the word saint, they are usually talking about a specific kind of saint, a canonized saint. Catholics should probably be more explicit so as not to cause confusion.

“The Church recognizes some Christians (saints) that have endured, entered Heaven and won the crown, and while there, have proven to be serious prayer warriors for us on earth. The Church must be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that the saint is in heaven. This is why they go through so much scrutiny over each and every saint. When they canonize someone they are really saying: ‘Hey, this person had a very cool relationship to the Lord while on earth and now they are in heaven and are really praying hard for us.

“Any evangelical could look at people who have been canonized by the Catholic Church and say, ‘yeah, that person is in heaven. That’s a good choice.’ (Catholicbridge.com)

WHAT IS DIVINE MERCY?

“Divine Mercy gets to the heart of Sacred Scripture. In fact, as the Catechism of the Catholic Church says, ‘The Gospel is the revelation in Jesus Christ of God’s mercy to sinners’ (1849). Right there: That summarizes it. Divine Mercy is the Gospel. It’s the good news. And so, it gets to the very center of our faith. Moreover, in the words of Pope Benedict XVI, ‘Divine Mercy is not a secondary devotion, but an integral dimension of Christian faith and prayer.’ Benedict even goes so far as to say, ‘Mercy is the central nucleus of the Gospel message.’

“Okay, so what is Divine Mercy? What is this thing that gets to the heart of Sacred Scripture and to the very center of our faith? To begin, mercy is ‘love’s second name,’ as John Paul II said. ‘It’s a particular kind of love, a particular mode of love when it encounters suffering, poverty, brokenness, and sin.’

“Divine Mercy is when God’s love meets us and helps us in the midst of our suffering and sin. In fact, because this side of eternity we’re all sinners and because suffering is our lot in life, God’s love for us here always takes the form of mercy. It’s always the Lord stepping out in compassion to help us poor, weak, and broken sinners. From our perspective, then, every good we receive is an expression of Divine Mercy.” (Marians of the Immaculate Conception) [thedivinemercy.org]

My theology401 blog is a personal response to my conscience hearing thoughts from God. This promisedsoil blog expands what I learned from it. And if you have followed me, you may have noticed the consistency, or a direction of my progress. . .

PRAYER IS BECOMING MY EFFECTIVE WAY TO HELP SOMEONE

In the past two weeks, I have learned to pray the Rosary every night. Upon that, for my concern about additional online requests for prayer, I found to pray the nine successive days of novena (Latin, novem is ‘nine’) prayers mentioning certain saints as patrons.

So I see the request, like someone on Facebook who is in the ministry who has a liver problem. I search for the patron saint for liver problems, then, for the novena prayer the church has written for the Saint interceding especially for that concern; and pray.

Now, God is enabling me to pray more as I am able. I haven’t heard so much results yet, but yesterday, when a nephew mentioned how his wife was in an accident, my thought rushed to the Daily prayer of Freedom, and that they might want to have it.

Then today, Facebook notified me that my oldest daughter had seconded my offering of daily prayer by saying she was praying along with me for them. That blessed my heart to see how God is bringing his Good News into even our own family suffering.

THE MORE I CHOOSE TO PRAY THE LESS I CONSCIOUSLY SIN

Our prayer requires some concentration, and the words lead to devotion for my heart to lead my mind. (Our spirit is sensitive to written prayers, while either good or bad thoughts can enter our mind.) Keeping notes, I record the good, and rebuke the bad.

Any chance to communicate our efforts of family prayer, is exciting, especially when it is more than ‘like’, or ‘happy birthday’, or ‘Merry Christmas’–if that’s all families give and get. Facebook is about a thousand-word photo, not a prayer–until a tragedy.

Now, we can begin to realize how God gets our attention by allowing the enemy to breach our hedge of protection. It happens, but for good reason. We need to turn away from sin, self, and all fleshly desires. Godly wisdom brings families together.

THE SUFFERING OF YESHUA-JESUS’ PASSION IS MY CONSOLATION

I am finally learning how the church teaches Yeshua-Jesus’ crucifiction can be brought into each day of my life. It is through personal prayer, and communion alone or together. The Catholic mass is a mystery that claims holy presence like no other.

If you think there is some conflict to keep us from gaining a holy life, you are right. The world, the flesh, and self battle over every issue. Yet, there is hope to find help to overcome our family dysfunction. Only faith in Yeshua-Jesus can bring peace.

Let us acknowledge the mystery of the Gospel in every form of prayer can help change and reform our hearts to receive reenforcements, and prevent any enemy advance. Bottom line, increasing devotion to God, his word, and his church is my answer.

May the Lord bless and keep you.

Expanded Daily Prayer for Freedom

image

A mystical still life captured of our home’s Entry by Vivian

THE MOST POWERFUL PRAYER THAT IS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA EFFORT!
“Why a long version? Over the years we have come to learn a great deal about prayer and spiritual warfare. Frankly, the prayers of our youth have not proved sufficient for the trials of a more mature believer advancing the Kingdom of God. This longer version reflects the kind of prayer needed in times of intense ministry or times of great pressure and attack. Frankly, it just has more firepower. Try it—you’ll see.” Said author and pastor John Eldredge. (Scripture footnotes added, with “crucifix” and “queen mother and bride” authority included for catholic (universal) theology.)

“My dear Lord Jesus, I come to You now to be restored[1] in You, renewed in You, to receive from You all the grace and mercy I so desperately need this day. I honor You as my Sovereign, and I surrender every aspect and dimension of my life totally and completely to You. I give to You my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I cover myself with Your blood[2]—my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I ask Holy Spirit to restore me in You, renew me in You, and lead me in this time of prayer. In all that I now pray, I stand in absolute agreement with Your Spirit and with my intercessors and allies, by Your Spirit and by Your Spirit alone.

THE TRINITY

“Dearest God, holy and victorious Trinity, You alone are worthy of all my worship, my heart’s devotion, all my praise, all my trust, and all the glory of my life. I love You, I worship You, I give myself over to You in my heart’s search for life. You alone are Life, and You have become my life. I renounce all other gods, every idol, and I give to You the place in my heart and in my life that You truly deserve. This is all about You, God, and not about me; You are the Hero of this story, and I belong to You. I ask Your forgiveness for my every sin. I renounce my sins. I ask You to search me and know me and reveal to me where You are working in my life and grant to me the grace of your healing, deliverance, your holiness, and a deep and true repentance.

THE FATHER

“Heavenly Father, thank you for loving me and choosing me before You made the world[3]. You are my true Father—my creator, redeemer, sustainer, and the true end of all things, including my life. I love You, I trust You, I worship You. I give myself over to You, Father, to be one with You in everything as Jesus is one with You. Thank You for proving Your love by sending Your only Son Jesus to be my substitute and representative[4], to be my Rock. I receive Him and all His life and all His work which You ordained for me[5]. Thank You for including me in Christ[6], for forgiving me my sins[7], for granting me His righteousness[8], for making me complete in Him[9].

“Thank you for making me alive with Christ[10], raising me with Him[11], seating me with Him at your right hand[12], establishing me in His authority[13], and anointing me with Your love[14], Your Spirit, and Your kingdom (His Queen Mother and His Bride). I receive it with thanks and give it total claim to my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will. I bring the life and work of the Lord Jesus Christ over my life today, over my home, my family, my household, throughout my earthly kingdom, domain and ministry.

THE SON

“Jesus, thank You for coming to ransom me with Your own life[15], I love you, I worship You, I give myself over to You to be one with You in all things—spirit, soul, and body, heart, mind, and will. I sincerely embrace[16] You as my redemption, and all the work and triumph in Your cross, death, blood[17], and sacrifice (Crucifix), through which my every sin is atoned for, I am ransomed and delivered from the kingdom of darkness and transferred to Your Kingdom of light, my sin nature is removed[18], my heart is circumcised unto God[19], and every claim being made against me is disarmed[20] this day.

THE CRUCIFICTION

“I now take my place in Your stripes, death, and cross (Crucifix), dying with You to sin, to my flesh[21], to this world[22], to the evil one[23], and his evil kingdom. I take up the Crucifix and crucify my flesh with all its pride, arrogance, unbelief, and idolatry [and anything else you are currently struggling with]. I put off the old man[24]. Apply to me all the work in Your cross, death, blood, and sacrifice (Crucifix). I receive it with thanks and give it total claim to my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will.

“I bring the blood and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ over my life today, over my home, my family, my household, my vehicles, finances, over all my kingdom, domain and ministry. I bring the cross, death, blood, and sacrifice (Crucifix) of Jesus Christ against Satan, against his evil kingdom, against every foul and unclean (demonic) spirit, every foul power and black art, against every witch, and against every human being and their godless spirit, their warfare and household. I bring the cross, death, blood, and sacrifice (Crucifix) of the Lord Jesus Christ to the borders of my kingdom, domain, and ministry, and I stake it there in the name of Jesus Christ.

“Crucifix” with sign saying in Latin, JESUS OF NAZARETH KING OF THE JEWS

THE RESURRECTION

“Jesus, I also sincerely receive You as my Life[25], and I receive all the work and triumph in Your resurrection, through which You have conquered sin, death, judgment, and the evil one. Death has no power over You, nor does any foul thing. And I have been raised with You to a new life, to live Your life—dead to sin and alive to God[26]. I am crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me[27].

I take my place now in Your resurrection and in Your life[28], and I give my life to You to live Your life. I am saved by Your life. I reign in life through Your life[29]. I now put on the new man[30] in all holiness and humility! in all righteousness, purity and truth. Christ is now my life[31], the One who strengthens me[32]. I receive Your hope, love, faith, joy, Your goodness, trueness, wisdom, power, and strength. Holy Spirit apply to me all the work and triumph of the resurrection of Jesus Christ for me. I receive it with thanks and I give it total claim to my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will.

“I bring the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ over my life today, over my home, my family, my household, my vehicles, finances, over all my kingdom, domain and ministry. I bring the resurrection and the empty tomb of Jesus Christ against Satan[33], against his evil kingdom, against every foul and unclean (demonic) spirit, every foul power and black art, against every witch, and against every human being and their godless spirit, their warfare, and household. I bring the resurrection and the empty tomb of the Lord Jesus Christ to the borders of my kingdom, domain, and ministry; I stake it there in Jesus’ name.

THE ASCENSION

“Jesus, I also sincerely receive You as my authority, ruler, and dominion, my everlasting victory against Satan and his evil kingdom, and my ability to bring Your Kingdom (sacraments) at all times and in every way. I receive all the work and triumph in Your ascension, through which Satan has been judged and cast down[33], his evil rulers principalities disarmed[34]; and all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to You, Jesus[35]. And I have been given fullness in You the head over all[36]; You are worthy to receive all glory and honor, power and dominion, now and forever.

“I take my place now in Your authority and in Your throne, through which I have been raised with You to the right hand of the Father and established in Your authority[37]. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world[38]. Christ has given me power and authority to overcome the enemy, and I claim that authority, now, standing in place over, above, and against every enemy, and I banish them in the name of Jesus Christ[39]. I give myself to You, to reign with You always. Apply to me all the work and triumph in Your authority and Your throne; I receive it with thanks, and I give it total claim to my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will.

THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST’S WORK

“I now bring the authority, rule, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ over my life today, over my home, my family, my household, my vehicles, finances, over all my kingdom, domain and ministry. I now bring the authority, rule, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fullness of the work of Christ against Satan, against his evil kingdom, against every foul and unclean (demonic) spirit—every ruler, power, authority, and spiritual force of wickedness, their every weapon, claim, and device.

“[At this point, I specifically name all foul and unclean (demonic) spirits that I know have been attacking me, such as fear, doubt, accident, injury, death, the religious spirit, pride, arrogance, slothfulness, gluttony, and greed, etc.]

“I send all foul and unclean (demonic) spirits bound to the throne of Christ, together with every back-up and replacement, every weapon, claim, and device—by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ and in His name. I command the judgment of the Lord Jesus Christ upon the heads of those that refuse to obey, and I send them to judgment; by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Queen Mother, and His Bride, and in His name.

“I now bring the authority, rule, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fullness of the work of Christ against every foul power and black art—every hex, vex, and incantation, every spell, weave, web, veil, shroud, charm, and snare; against every ritual, sacrifice, and device; against every vow, dedication, and sacrifice, every word, judgment, and curse—written, spoken, unspoken, or transferred to me. I command them disarmed and broken by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, His Queen Mother, and His Bride, and in His name.

“I now bring the authority, rule, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fullness of the work of Christ against every witch, cult, and coven, every channel of black arts to me. I cut them off in the name of the Lord; I send the glory of God to them to turn them in Jesus’ name.

“I now bring the authority, rule, and dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ and the fullness of the work of Christ between me and every human being—their godless spirit, soul, body, their sin, warfare, and their household. I bring the full work of Christ between me and [now I name people I’ve counseled or prayed for, family members, folks in crisis looking to me, etc.]. I command their human spirits bound back to their bodies and their warfare bound to the throne of Christ in their life. I bring the full work of Christ between me and my household and all people; in the authority of Jesus Christ, His Queen Mother and His Bride, and in His name.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

“Holy Spirit, thank you for coming for me today. I love You, I worship You, I trust You. I honor You as Lord.  I sincerely embrace You, become my union with the Father and the Son, the Spirit of Truth in me, the life of God in me, my Counselor, Comforter, Strength, Helper and Guide[40]. You have clothed me with power from on high, sealed me in Christ[41]. Restore my union with the Father and the Son. Lead me into all truth, anoint me for all of my life and walk and calling, and lead me deeper into Jesus today[42]. I honor You as Lord, and I fully give to You every aspect and dimension of my spirit, soul, and body, my heart, mind, and will—to be filled with You, to walk in step with You in all things[43]. I receive all the work and triumph in Pentecost[44] through which You have come. Fill me afresh, blessed Holy Spirit. I receive You with thanks, and give You total claim to my life.

“Heavenly Father, thank you for granting to me every spiritual blessing of the heavenlies in Christ Jesus[45]. I claim the riches in Christ Jesus over my life today, over my home, my family, my work, over all of my kingdom and domain. I bring the blood of Christ once more over my spirit, soul, and body, over my heart, mind, and will. I put on the full armor of God: the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel, helmet of salvation; I take up the shield of faith and sword of the Spirit, and I choose to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of Your might[46], to pray at all times in the Spirit.

“Jesus, thank you for Your angels. I summon them in the name of Jesus Christ and instruct them to destroy all that is raised against me, to establish Your Kingdom, Queen Mother and Your Bride; to rebuild the shields and hedges of protection around me and my household, and to minister to me Your ministry[47]. I ask you to send forth Your Spirit to raise up prayer and intercession for me[48]. I now call forth the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout my home, my household, my kingdom, domain and ministry, in the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, with all wisdom and power, worship and glory, honor and riches, praise and dominion, and blessing and thanks be to Him; for ever and ever and ever, amen and amen.

BITTERNESS BREAKTHROUGH: Murder prevention

GOD SPEAKS THROUGH MY CONSCIENCE

This  morning during personal quiet-time devotion, my conscience reminded me of a comment I made on Facebook the other night. For the comment, I had to look up some information for the purpose of sharing something helpful, but it backfired.

I needed to offer to pray the solution, and show how the third party might benefit. I failed to do the ministering and let the first party say, since my analysis was more than expected, she passively agreed to pray the solution.

A CASE FOR THIRD PARTY BITTERNESS

How often do we share some broken relationship with friends who have some experience with helpful comments? Not that often. My conscience grabs me for offering information about the problem (bitterness) and not the solution.

My friend is educated and employed as a professional educator. She is the first party offering the circumstance of a loner friend (third party) who became very bitter–and remains chronically so. We agree prayer is his solution, so how can we pray?

My research revealed three points: Bitterness is a spiritual affliction; bitterness is a stronghold of the enemy in the third party soul; and such bitterness has seven subordinate spirits that support its wicked purpose. (from A More Excellent Way book)

THE ROOT CAUSE OF BITTERNESS

The root cause of all sickness and disease is sin (disobedience to God). The bitter root grows out of an unthankful heart. Sin causes separation from God, then separation from self. Self separation devalues all other relationships, and brings isolation.

Unforgiveness is the first spirit to attack after the bitter spirit to support it. (Hebrews 12:15-17 LIV). Then, resentment (spiritual, not psychological), then retaliation, then anger. If anger exists, unforgiveness, resentment and retaliation are with it already.

Anger generates hatred, hatred violence, and violence, murder. How does one get to commit murder, a mortal sin? They have let bitterness and the seven bitter spirits justify such behavior, and the lost soul plots and plans to commit murder.

HOW DOES A LOST SOUL FIND FREEDOM?

Pastor Henry Wright teaches the eight step to freedom program. First as an answer to prayers of friends, the victim needs to recognize his/her peril, and take responsibility personally for disobedience. Then comes repentance, and renounce spiritual enemy.

After renounce, removing each spirit, resisting them, rejoicing, and restoration. The victim of bitterness must turn from a life of sin. Romans 8:1 is something to consider: “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,

Who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit.” Here is our answer. Walking after the Holy Spirit, fearing Almighty God, and regaining a clear conscience before God. Sin has no grasp on the soul when it’s sin is confessed to our forgiving God daily.

MISSING SOMETHING?

The bible tells how authority of the church applies, to provide the holy man who is anointed to help our subject find freedom. James 5:13-16 NJB,

“Anyone of you who is in trouble should pray; anyone in good spirits should sing a psalm. Anyone of you who is ill should send for the elders of the church, and they must anoint the sick person with oil in the name of the lord and pray over him. The prayer of faith will save the sick person and the Lord will raise him up again; and if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. So confess your sins to another to be cured; the heartfelt prayer of someone upright works very powerfully.”

Click on the link and read another Catholic version of the same passage, which reads, “Send for the priest of the church…” My Greek-English Lexicon says, ‘The English word priest comes from presbyteros. Later usage is responsible for development (of using elder).’ [New Oxford English Dictionary]

Here is my new rosary that is framed by the cross that makes my writing desk an altar.

If my Greek Bible says presbyteros, so the earlier Catholic version is correctly translated. I am elder, but I am not a priest. I am old, but that doesn’t make me qualified to pray for someone’s spiritual freedom, we all need to know someone who is.

FINAL POINTS FOR SPIRITUAL HEALING

Only God is healer, he get’s the credit and glory for the whole operation. His word, the holy bible, has the authority to reclaim a soul from the hand of the enemy. The way and means that is pleasing to God is simple faith–faith of a child.

I started actually praying the rosary two weeks ago. Just tonight I learned a necessary correction with it. What happened was, around the third time–saying ‘pray for us sinners now and in the hour of our death, amen.’ Fifty times saying ‘death’…

I suffered a mild heart attack. A symptom of early angina, my chest felt squeezed and very much like a cramp about to happen. The timing of it was during morning devotion prayer, just as I put on thr armor of God. I said Help God, and it was over.

OUR FAITH LIFE GROWS AS OUR CONSCIENCE HEARS AND OBEYS

My social media prayer ministry is beginning to show signs of growth. My conscience heard seven days ago to begin praying for Facebook friends who have asked for prayer as they have become desperate. My mid-day prayer time is devoted to their requests.

What I found to pray that the church sanctions is called a novena. I make requests to St. Jude, the infant Jesus of Prague, and Our Lady of Fatima. Each of these sources have records of miraculous healings. My heart is lowly enough to do this nine days.

My boldness is not based on my pride, but on service to our loving Savior. Do you understand how a ministry cannot grow without sacrifice?

Oh, about that correction for my saying ‘death‘ fifty times: I just saw a teaching tape of Mother Angelica that stated “Catholics don’t suffer death, we make ‘transition‘ instead.” That is my correction to praying the rosary. I say transition instead of death.

PRAYER CAN OVERCOME ALL OUR SIN

I really hope this post is helpful. Please let me know your prayer requests. Always let your godly conscience be your guide. Think about this,

With Christians, a poetical view of things is a duty. We are bid to color all things with hues of faith, to see a divine meaning in every event.” –John Henry Newman

Encamped along the hills of light, you Christian soldiers rise, and press the battle ere the night shall veil the glowing skies. Against the foe in vales below let all our strength be hurled; faith is the victory we know, that overcomes the world.” –John H.  Yates

May the Lord bless and keep you,

Charles

CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH: Trusting God to give this.

Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California

“Dear Father God, I come before You with a grateful heart for the many blessing that You bestow on us day by day, and praise You that Your mercies are new every morning and You have provided for all our needs – and more besides. You are a great and generous God..
You are so good to all Your creation and have faithfully supplied all our needs, according to Your riches and grace – just as You have promised.

I love that hymn where it says, “count your blessings, see what God has done,” and Father I do count the many blessings that come from You day by day. Please forgive me for the times when I taken for granted the many gifts and graces that come from You – I could not draw another breath unless You give me the strength and yet moment by moment I am being kept in Your love and sustained by Your grace.. Praise Your glorious name, for ever and ever,
Amen”

Monday we heard our doctor say, “You’re good to go Charles!” This was the answer to the above prayer, which came to me from my Twitter follower @rick_warrens. He is one church leader worth following, who can get God on your case.

My wife and I were pleased to hear this, because we suffered with acute sinusitis for over 7-months. My stuffy nose was troublesome for both of us. I couldn’t sleep, always snorting and blowing the nose. But it was infected because of my failure.

We both believe God is a good God and worthy of our conscious acceptance as always acting on our behalf, to keep us from harm, truly. But we know there are the devil and his demons that can infect our lives with sickness and disease. We are only human.

Another teacher, Art Matthias teaches that all sickness is caused by an evil or wicked spirit. Yes! And that is consistent with Deuteronomy 28, where the law (Torah), gives a name of every disease and a license for dark spirits to attack any disobedient believers. (www.akwellspring.com) [BibleGateway.com]

But our faith in God through his only begotten Son Jesus (Yeshua) represents a new and better covenant, which improves upon the law, by providing grace and truth. Our Christian faith is able to grant a sinless existence by obeying Christ (Messiah).

MY SICKNESS WAS CAUSED BY AVOIDABLE SIN

Please let me explain. Our godly existence is maintained by prayer. Self prayer and prayer for others. The above prayer was sent to me  by a staff member in Rick Warren’s church-office. I needed that. (We all need that.)

His online church is growing. I have increased my prayer list to include many pastors, rabbis, priests, sisters, evangelists, bishops, cardinals, and popes, but pastor Rick is the only one God has appointed to send a prayer for me.

Then what do I claim as a fault I should have avoided? Three things: My immune system was weak. I was fasting to lose weight. And I was unprotected from ingesting the dust of tree spores and fungus while raking and bagging leaves.

Such conditions seem common, but they opened the door for an evil sickness or infection that happened to me. How it happened was when I sneezed bending over to tie my boots–it came up and out my nose! (Always hold your nose when sneezing.)

KNOWING THE TRUTH AND OBEDIENCE TO THE LAW OF MESSIAH

Here is my summary. As Christian believers, we are to learn and teach and grow in our faith. Get in the Holy Spirit, and stay there. Check your motives for doing anything for God. To please God is foremost in thinking, praying, and speaking. God loves you!

I let my motives slip, taking God’s hearing my prayers for granted. He does hear them, except when not actively trusting him to hear my prayer. I heard how to fast from a church source, but neglected supporting my immune system. My blood was enemic.

My faith in Christ (Messiah) does not discount my responsibility to take necessary measures to maintain a good diet and moderate exercize. The best way to stay healthy is to pray, pray for others, and hear God’s voice: ‘Obedience is better than sacrifice.’ (1Samuel 15:22,23 (MSG)

May the Lord richly bless you dearly beloved.
